• New Jersey Cafe Owners Offer Support to Small Colombian Community Impacted by Recent Earthquakes (people.com) — Ridgewood residents can drop off food, blankets, hygiene items, tarps, and tents at Rey Sol Coffee Roasters to support families in Balboa, Colombia, after a powerful August earthquake. The Morristown- and Ridgewood-based cafe is also raising money via GoFundMe to help cover damaged homes and provide temporary shelter for those who lost everything.
   

• Northern Highlands boys soccer rallies from two-goal deficit to earn draw with Ridgewood (nj.com subscription) — Ridgewood High's boys soccer team opened its season with a dramatic 3-3 draw against Northern Highlands in Allendale, surrendering a two-goal halftime lead before equalizing late. Ridgewood's goals came from Jaden Lee, Matteo Scalia, and Caden Ferrara, while goalkeeper Chase Yannuzzi made eight saves in the back-and-forth matchup.
