Multiple photos show water pooling across key athletic areas, an issue that could affect upcoming games, practices, and community use if not addressed quickly by school and village officials.

Historic run headlines N.J.'s cross country's standout performances from Week 2 (nj.com subscription) — Ridgewood's boys cross country team is off to a strong start, winning the Pod 1 Varsity title at the Season Opener Invitational at Darlington Park with the best team average of the meet. Senior Dean Ackley and teammates Brandon Spino and Jack Barsa led a tight pack that signals Ridgewood could be a major contender in Bergen County this fall.
