• Mosque proposal in Upper Saddle River pushed to July hearing (northjersey.com) — A postponed Upper Saddle River Planning Board hearing will decide whether the historic Saddle River Methodist Church building on West Saddle River Road can be converted into a mosque, with the new date set for July 8. A Saddle River resident’s online petition opposing the plan has drawn hundreds of signatures, raising concerns about parking, stormwater, neighborhood character, and noise that the board will now review.
