Scotch Plains Revolution 250: What To Know About The June 26-27 Celebration

The 2-day event features a downtown parade, time capsule opening and student performers Friday, followed by a fireworks show Saturday.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - Scotch Plains will mark America's 250th anniversary with a two-day Revolution 250 celebration June 26-27, featuring a downtown parade, fireworks and a performance by the Nettingham Middle School Jazz Ensemble.

Friday, June 26, events will be held on the Alan M. Augustine Village Green in downtown Scotch Plains from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The evening will include a ceremony, parade, time capsule opening, and family-friendly festivities, along with a live performance by the Nettingham Middle School Jazz Ensemble.

Saturday, June 27, festivities move to Shady Rest Country Club from 5 to 10 p.m., with fireworks, live music, and food trucks.

The celebration is supported by Stage House Tavern, Preserve Shady Rest, the Union County Board of County Commissioners and RevolutionNJ Community.
