She and SAVE animal shelter’s director are urging township leaders to pursue quieter or alternative celebrations, arguing the loud displays distress livestock, pets, wildlife, and some veterans even as officials say changes this year are unlikely.
   

• Ironhawks Announce Protected Roster (oursportscentral.com) — A new ECHL hockey team in Trenton is closing its 2025–26 season with a protected roster that includes defenseman Luke Antonacci from Skillman. Local fans can follow a hometown player as the former Utah Grizzlies franchise transitions into the Trenton Ironhawks, keeping several familiar names for the next campaign.
