• South Plainfield High School Students, Coaches Achieve Winter Sport Success (tapinto.net) — South Plainfield High School athletes and coaches were formally honored at the April 15 Board of Education meeting for standout performances in winter sports. From basketball and bowling to swimming, track, and wrestling, dozens of Tigers earned Greater Middlesex Conference honors and postseason tournament hardware, highlighting a strong 2025–26 season for the community’s student-athletes. 
• Yvette Louise Houlbreque (themonmouthjournaleastern.com) — Family and friends with ties to South Plainfield may wish to note that 100-year-old Yvette Louise Houlbreque, formerly of Point Pleasant and Belford, has passed away, with burial planned at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Her funeral and viewing are set for April 21 in Middletown, followed by interment locally.
