SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Some residents and businesses in the Dayton and Monmouth Junction sections of South Brunswick are seeing discolored water after a fire hydrant was struck on Route 130 on Wednesday morning, township officials said.

Crews from the South Brunswick Township Water Department are flushing hydrants in and around the affected neighborhoods, according to the township. Officials said the discoloration will clear up as the flushing continues.

Residents with discolored water are advised to open the cold water faucets in their homes and let them run for at least five minutes, or until the water runs clear.
