SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Mark your calendars, South Brunswick's National Night Out celebration returns Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rowland Park on Broadway Road, and the South Brunswick Police Department is inviting the whole community to come out.

The free, family-friendly event will serve up more than 2,500 hot dogs, 750 veggie dogs, 1,500 bottles of water, 1,000 ice pops, and 2,000 bags of popcorn and chips.

There's plenty to do beyond the food, too. Attendees can expect music, dancing, carnival rides, bounce houses, games, prizes and interactive displays from the South Brunswick Police Department, the FBI, local fire departments and first aid squads.

The night's crowd favorite, the tug-of-war competition, is back with two matchups: police vs. fire vs. EMS, followed by a showdown between the South Brunswick Police Department and the 2026 Youth Police Academy Cadets.

Organizers say the event is a chance to see the partnerships that make the community strong, and residents can get a preview by watching the National Night Out 2025 highlight video on the department's YouTube channel.
