'A True Miracle': Update On Dog Lost In Summit During Dangerous Winter Weather
Nearly a foot of snow and blistering cold made the efforts that much more timely.
SUMMIT, NJ — The Summit Police Department is celebrating "a true miracle" on Tuesday after a small dog was reunited with its family.
Trixie, who had been missing after last being seen in the area of Greenbriar Drive and Rotary Drive, was found after nearly three days.


After surviving in frigid temperatures and nearly a foot of snow, she was brought to Summit Police headquarters by a person who found her.

She is now on her way to the veterinarian, authorities said.
"We are so happy this had such a happy ending for her and her family," Summit Police said, "...and thank you to everyone who braved the elements to search for her and share her posts!"
