• Surf City to Launch New Tech at Boat Ramp This Summer (thesandpaper.net) — Surf City is rolling out a new automated, cashless system at the public boat ramp this June, using license-plate recognition to charge per launch instead of parking time. Borough officials say the Premium Parking technology should cut lines, reduce cash handling, and improve enforcement, while residents raised questions about fines, start dates, and keeping beach badge checkers out of ramp disputes.
   

• Summer Prep Underway in Surf City as Mother Nature Warms Up (thesandpaper.net) — Surf City’s beaches, bayfront and Veterans Park are all getting intensive attention as officials race to repair winter damage and gear up for summer, even after beach badge sales brought in $54,000. Lifeguard staffing, training, and the popular Gator mobility program are already lined up, while the borough awaits word on major beach nourishment funding and coordinates needed bay beach and park work before Memorial Day.
