Raising Awareness on Human Trafficking at the Waretown Library

WARETOWN – The Waretown Branch of the Ocean County Library will host an event to raise community awareness on human trafficking from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 17. Join us for a special screening of the film Sound of Freedom, followed by an informative seminar led by a local detective.

Learn the warning signs of human trafficking, how it affects our communities, and ways to help protect those at risk.

Sound of Freedom is based on the true story of a former government agent turned vigilante who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hundreds of children from traffickers.

Light refreshments will be served during the intermission between the movie and the seminar.

This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ocean County Library – Waretown Branch. The Friends of the Library are a vital community resource that provides local support for Ocean County Library’s branches. Funds are used to expand programming at branches and support ongoing projects.

Registration is required for this free program. To register, visit tinyurl.com/AwarenessOCL, call 609-693-5133, or stop by the branch at 112 Main Street. Registration will open October 3.
