• New Jersey car wash fined $446K for exposing workers to safety hazards (njtoday.news) — Turnersville residents should know that ModWash, which operates a local car wash here, faces nearly $447,000 in proposed OSHA penalties for alleged safety and noise violations at its New Jersey operations. Federal inspectors say workers at the company’s express car washes performed maintenance without proper lockout/tagout procedures and lacked adequate hearing protection measures. The company can still contest the findings or seek an informal conference.
