• Seniors From Verona, Cedar Grove Earn Awards In County Art Contest (patch.com) — Verona seniors are being recognized countywide, with local artist Carlos Aguirre earning second place in non-professional photography at the 2026 Essex County Senior Citizens Juried Art Show. Several Cedar Grove neighbors also took top honors across drawing, painting, and photography categories, following an awards ceremony held in Cedar Grove on Sept. 17 that celebrated 35 talented older adults.
