Driver Hospitalized After NJ Transit Bus Collision
The bus was en route to the American Dream Mall and had nine passengers on board at the time of the crash.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A driver was hospitalized this week after colliding with an NJ Transit Bus in Passaic County.
On Monday, just before 5 p.m., police were called to the area of 21st Avenue and East 27th Street in Paterson on reports of a bus accident.
Authorities found that an NJ Transit bus operating on the 703 Line heading east to the American Dream Mall was struck by another vehicle, NJ Transit officials said.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
None of the bus's nine passengers or its driver was injured.

The customers remained on the bus, which eventually continued its route after being cleared by Paterson police.
Paterson police are conducting an investigation of the crash.
