Passaic Co. Crash Kills 1, Hospitalizes Another, Police Say
A 30-year-old man was medevacked to a hospital before succumbing to his injuries the next day, police said.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A man is dead, and another is injured following a car crash this week, authorities said.
On Sunday, around 6 p.m., police responded to a car crash at Warwick Turnpike and Lake Shore Drive in Hewitt. A Dodge Charger and a Nissan Pathfinder were involved, police said.
The driver of the Dodge, a 30-year-old New York man, was medevacked to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead the next day, according to officials.

The driver of the Nissan, a 28-year-old Hewitt man, was also rushed to the hospital for treatment and was later released.
An investigation into the crash is underway, and no criminal charges have been announced at this time. No specific details of the crash have been released as of Tuesday morning.
