• Wayne Mulling $2.3 Million for Lionshead Dam and Emergency Drainage Repairs (tapinto.net) — Wayne officials are moving to spend about $2.3 million on critical infrastructure, including major rehabilitation of the Lionshead Lake Dam and emergency replacement of a failing stormwater pipe near Patton Court and Weinmanns Boulevard. The council unanimously introduced bond ordinances to fund the work, with several members stressing the urgency after seeing what they described as dangerous drainage conditions firsthand.
   

• Toys R Us continues comeback with 120 new standalone stores planned (beaconjournal.com) — Wayne shoppers may soon see a bigger Toys R Us presence, as the revived brand plans 120 new standalone stores nationwide while continuing to operate inside Macy's, including the Wayne location. The company, which once headquartered in Wayne before its 2018 bankruptcy, says the expansion will bring more in-store experiences and creator spaces ahead of the holiday season.
   

• After NJ Man Died In A Storefront Car Crash, Driver Will Face Murder Charges (patch.com) — A construction worker from Wayne who was killed when a driver crashed into a Massachusetts Apple Store is at the center of a murder trial now set to move forward. Four years after the crash that also injured 22 others, a clinician has deemed the driver competent, and he'll return to court in October as prosecutors pursue second-degree murder and related charges.
