The Wayne Board of Education also named two additional administrators and confirmed that the first day of school for Wayne students is Sept. 8, underscoring ongoing investments in local leadership and student support.

• William Paterson University Welcomes the Class of 2030 (wpubeacon.com) — William Paterson University welcomed the Class of 2030 with a high-energy Welcome Day on its Wayne campus, complete with a ceremonial walk, speeches, and group photos. Students capped the morning with a barbecue and cupcakes marking the 75th anniversary of the Wayne campus, then broke into sessions to prepare for their first semester together.
