• NJ Transit hires ferries as backup plan for World Cup fans (audacy.com) — World Cup fans leaving MetLife Stadium could be routed through Weehawken, where NJ Transit has lined up two large New York Waterway ferries as a backup if rail service melts down. The boats would move fans from Weehawken to Manhattan only after matches, supplementing a large fleet of standby buses in case Amtrak-related problems disrupt trains.
