Deadly Walmart Shooting: NJ Man Killed Over Parking Spot In FL, Authorities Say

NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL — A 62-year-old man from New Jersey was shot dead on June 30 after a fight over a parking spot at a Walmart in Florida, the Broward County Sheriff's Office said.
At around 12:30 p.m., officials responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot at 7900 W. McNab Rd.
They found Bart Diguglielmo, of Hammonton, after he was shot.

He was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where he later died.
According to early evidence, Diguglielmo was arguing with a woman over a parking spot before the shooting.

The woman shot him, then remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives, authorities added.
She told officials she was acting in self-defense.
Video obtained by local news outlet WPLG shows the moments before, during, and after the man was shot.

A United States Military veteran and father of three, Diguglielmo had moved to Florida three years ago to be closer to his daughter, she told WPLG.
As of Tuesday morning, the Florida Office of the State Attorney told Patch they have not received the case from law enforcement to determine if charges will be filed.
