Historic Diner For Sale In South Jersey: See Where

The historic property at the intersection of West Broadway and Oak Street is now on the market.

The original neon signage (non-working) highlights the history of the restaurant that was built in 1954 and sits at 113 W. Broadway.

The structure is one of the last remaining restaurants built by the Silk City Diner Company, which was based in Paterson, among thousands of "pre-made" templates of diners that were built around the country with counters and other classic features.

Along with the business and the building, multiple jukeboxes, the old counters, and plenty of retro art are included in the sale.

In 1992, the Salem Oak Diner was listed by the federal government in a survey of historic American buildings.

Situated across from the Salem Oak Tree downtown, the site also serves as a symbol of history in Salem as the city celebrates its 350th anniversary this year.
