Home burglarized, Car Stolen In Westfield

A resident told police someone broke into the home and took keys before leaving with their vehicle.

WESTFIELD, NJ — A home burglary where keys and a car were taken from a driveway was reported in Westfield.

The incident happened around 6 a.m. April 28 on the 700 block of Highland Avenue, police said.

A resident told police they woke up to alerts from a home security system. After reviewing the footage, the resident said they saw individuals enter the home.

Police said the individuals took keys from inside the first floor before leaving in the resident’s vehicle, which had been parked in the driveway.

The incident remains under investigation according to police.
