• Attempted Car Theft Reported In West Orange: Police (patch.com) — West Orange residents are being alerted after police reported an attempted car theft on Mt. Pleasant Avenue, where a 2024 Hyundai Elantra was found with a shattered rear window and damaged ignition. The incident, which occurred Sept. 9, remains under investigation as authorities have not released further details.
   

• 19th OSPAC Annual West Orange Jazz Festival (njmonthly.com) — West Orange residents can look forward to the 19th OSPAC Annual West Orange Jazz Festival on Saturday, September 19, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the newly renovated Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center on Boland Drive. The free and affordable outdoor event will feature a seven-hour lineup of acclaimed jazz artists, honor NEA Jazz Master Dorthaan Kirk, and include a special ceremony marking OSPAC's 25th anniversary.
