• This program helps Virginia military members place their pets with carers during deployment – Mountain Media, LLC (henrycountyenterprise.com) — A deployed Navy sailor's dog, Lola, has been placed with a foster family in Westwood through Operation Foster, a nonprofit that finds temporary homes for military members' pets. The program, active nationwide, coordinates vet care, supplies, and long-term fostering so service members can deploy or seek treatment without surrendering their animals.
