1. Philadelphia woman sues Wildwood after beach truck injuries (wobm.com) — A Philadelphia woman has filed a lawsuit against Wildwood and its police department, alleging she was run over and pinned by a Wildwood Police pickup on the beach in August 2024. Court filings describe serious long-term injuries and trauma for both her and her child, and claim negligence and misconduct by the officer and department. The suit seeks damages for medical costs, insurance expenses, and pain and suffering.
   

2. County Commissioners appoint Rosenello to board ‣ Ocean City Sentinel (ocnjsentinel.com) — Longtime North Wildwood public official Patrick Rosenello has been appointed to fill a vacant seat on the Cape May County Board of Commissioners while he continues his campaign for a full term this November. A Wildwood Catholic graduate and former North Wildwood mayor, he’ll oversee key county departments including the Prosecutor’s Office, schools, and consumer affairs through the end of 2026.
   

3. Baseball team stat leaders for April 16 (nj.com subscription) — Wildwood High’s baseball team is off to a strong start, ranking among New Jersey’s leaders in total runs scored and boasting a +47 run differential through April 15. The statewide stat rundown shows how Wildwood stacks up against bigger programs and highlights several Cape May County and South Jersey schools putting up impressive numbers early in the season.
   

4. Southern New Jersey Fishing Report- April 16, 2026 (onthewater.com) — Anglers in Wildwood’s offshore waters are seeing excellent tog action on nearby reef sites, with white crabs producing plenty of keeper fish. A broader South Jersey report notes improving striped bass and drum bites from Toms River down through Cape May, plus strong weekend prospects for wreck and reef togging if you’re heading out from the Wildwood area.
