• Tucumcari settles suit from former cop for $350,000 (easternnewmexiconews.com) — A former Tucumcari police officer has settled his civil-rights lawsuit against the city and two officers for $350,000, ending the case with no admission of liability. The suit, which alleged false arrest and malicious prosecution after a 2024 domestic dispute call, was ultimately dismissed by a 9th Judicial District judge from Clovis after the settlement was reached.
