• Gallup rallies late to edge Kirtland Central, extends win streak over district rival (navajotimes.com) — Gallup softball fans saw a big home win as the Lady Bengals rallied from a five-run deficit to beat Kirtland Central 11-9 at Gallup High, extending their streak over the Lady Broncos to 14 straight. With strong performances from Leia Tso and teammates, Gallup stays unbeaten in District 1-4A and now looks ahead to key matchups with Shiprock and Aztec.
   

• Governor appoints two new members to State Transportation Commission - Office of the Governor (state.nm.us) — Gallup residents now have local businessman Anthony K. Tanner representing District 6 on the New Mexico State Transportation Commission, giving the city a direct voice on statewide transportation decisions. Appointed by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Tanner’s term runs through March 2027, alongside fellow new commissioner Debra Hicks of Hobbs.
