Homegrown Heroes of Long Island Celebrates Local Changemakers, Culture, and Community Impact Sat. March 14th at Adelphi University

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Homegrown Heroes of Long Island, a signature cultural exhibition and community gathering honoring local trailblazers and changemakers, will take place Friday, March 14, 2026 at Adelphi Performing Arts Center bringing together residents, leaders, artists, and supporters for an evening of inspiration, recognition, and connection.
The event time is from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Adelphi University offering attendees an immersive experience that celebrates individuals whose leadership and creativity continue to shape Long Island’s cultural and economic landscape.

The event is presented in partnership with the African American Small Business Foundation, Inc., 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc., and the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce (LIAACC), reinforcing the connection between culture, commerce, and community empowerment.
“By partnering on Homegrown Heroes, we are highlighting the power of local leadership and the importance of investing in our own communities,” said a LIAACC representative. “This event reflects the excellence that already exists on Long Island.”
