Renee Daniel Flagler, President of National CARES, to Participate in 2026 International Women’s Conference

Hempstead, NY — January 2026 — The International Women’s Conference (IWC) has announced that Renee Daniel Flagler, President of National CARES, will participate as a featured speaker in the 2026 International Women’s Conference, taking place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Hofstra University.

Flagler leads National CARES, a national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children through culturally responsive mentoring, trauma-healing programming, and community driven empowerment. Under her leadership, National CARES has expanded its reach, strengthened strategic partnerships, and elevated its role in addressing systemic barriers to opportunity for youth nationwide.

National CARES was founded by Susan L. Taylor, Founder and CEO of the organization and a nationally acclaimed journalist and activist. Taylor launched the movement (originally as Essence CARES) following her distinguished career as Editor-in-Chief Emerita of Essence magazine, where she guided one of the most influential media platforms in Black America. She transitioned full-time into building National CARES to recruit, train, and mobilize caring adults to mentor and support children in communities impacted by poverty, trauma, and educational inequities.

As part of the 2026 conference lineup, Flagler will join fellow women leaders in discussions on leadership, community impact, equity, and legacy under this year’s theme: “HER VOICE. HER CULTURE. HER LEGACY. HER POWER.”
