Albany Spends Million$ on Unnecessary Fluoridation

Albany County has one of the lowest tooth decay and fluoridation rates in New York State (13% fluoridated and 25% cavity rate), according to NYS Dept of Health statistics. Despite no evidence of need, an Albany City Council member was convinced by his dentist that his son's cavity was caused because Albany city didn't have fluoridation. So they passed a law requiring it, excluding opposition from taking part in the process. By the way, fluoride is neither a nutrient nor essential for healthy teeth. It's an unnecessary drug with side effects.

Two states and hundreds of communities have stopped the practice after a federal court ruled that fluoridation is neurotoxic to the fetus and babies at levels added to drinking water (0.7 mg/L). Hydrofluosilicic acid is Albany's "fluoride" of choice. It's never been safety tested in animals or humans and is allowed to carry traces of lead and arsenic never purified out before injection into your drinking water.

According to the Albany website, They are slated to waste millions of dollars of much needed tax dollars. The total project cost for the unnecessary addition of Fluoride to drinking water is $1,447,316. (Engineering - $371,590 and Construction - $1,075,726).

Annual Operation & Maintenance Costs are estimated to be approximately $81,000, which include chemical costs and costs associated with maintenance of chemical feed pumps. Costs of the fluoride chemical is based on the current price of $4.39/gallon. Dosage will be 50 gallons per day.

Countries without fluoridation e.g. Nordic Countries and Japan have remarkably less tooth decay than in fluoride saturated US where 70% of children and adolescents are afflicted with dental fluorosis, white flecked and yellow splotched teeth)
