• Thousands gather to watch ‘Big Boy' locomotive steam through Western New York (oleanstar.com) — Attica rail fans will get a rare chance to see Union Pacific’s massive ‘Big Boy’ steam locomotive as it steams east through town Thursday morning on a cross-country 250th anniversary tour. The 1.2‑million‑pound engine is scheduled to pass through Darien, Attica, Warsaw and Silver Springs before crossing Letchworth’s Genesee River Arch Bridge and continuing toward Hornell and Pennsylvania.
