• NY: Public transit group floats $200,000 plan to revive Newburgh-Beacon Ferry (masstransitmag.com) — Beacon riders may soon see weekend service return on the Newburgh-Beacon Ferry, as a grassroots coalition works to raise $200,000 for a summer pilot using the Nellie Bly. Local governments, including the city of Beacon, have backed the effort after MTA cut the ferry, leaving commuters with slower bridge buses and car trips.
