• Student-athletes, coaches come together for Section VIII Unity Summit (news12.com) — Students and coaches from across Nassau County gathered at Brookside School in the Bellmore-Merrick district for the fourth annual Section VIII Unity Summit, focused on civility in athletics. Local student-athletes joined workshops on leadership, mental health, performance, and sportsmanship, and heard from keynote speaker Andrew Marotta about competing hard while still treating opponents with respect.
