Brentwood Gospel Health Fest Returns For 10th Year With Music, Health Resources

BRENTWOOD, NY — A milestone community health event is set to return this weekend, bringing music, education, and wellness resources together under one roof.

The Suffolk County Department of Health Services Office of Minority Health will host its 10th annual Gospel Health Fest on Saturday, April 11, at Suffolk County Community College’s Grant Campus in Brentwood.

The event is designed to engage residents through an uplifting mix of live gospel music and dance performances, while also connecting attendees with health professionals and organizations focused on prevention and early detection of illness.

Representatives from several regional organizations will be on hand, including Smart Start Suffolk, Sun River Health, Catholic Health, and the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend presentations, ask questions, and learn more about available health services and resources.

“These lively performances continue to captivate audiences year after year,” Suffolk County Department of Health Services Commissioner Dr. Gregson Pigott said. “Bringing the community together in this vibrant setting is a unique way to bring awareness to the many health issues we face and the public health initiatives that we offer.”

The free event will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Van Nostrand Theater, located on the college’s Grant Campus at 1001 Crooked Hill Road.
