Celebrate Mother’s Day with a special New York collaboration from BUBA Bureka and Acme Smoked Fish. Inspired by the beloved appetizing tradition, the two iconic brands have teamed up to create a limited-edition Whitefish and Roasted Potato Bureka available for preorder and pickup at the Acme Smokehouse in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
The flaky, golden bureka is served with cucumber salad, crushed tomato, whipped scallion cream cheese, pickles, olives, and lemon, bringing together the classic flavors of a traditional New York smoked fish spread in an entirely new way.
As New York City’s first shop dedicated entirely to burekas, BUBA Bureka has become known for its fresh take on the beloved Mediterranean pastry, with a menu created by Chef Ben Siman-Tov, also known as @BenGingi on social media. Founded in 1906, Acme Smoked Fish remains a Brooklyn institution, famous for its long-running Fish Friday tradition that has drawn generations of smoked fish lovers to Greenpoint.
Together, the two brands are celebrating the flavors, traditions, and community spirit that define New York City.
