Woman grazed by bullet in Canarsie; police searching for 3 men who fled on scooter (abc7ny.com) — Police are searching for three men who fled on a scooter after a 52-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet on Ralph Avenue in Canarsie, Brooklyn, Monday afternoon. The victim, believed not to be the intended target, was taken to Brookdale Hospital and is expected to survive as the investigation continues.
   

4. Department of Small Business Services awards $2.8M to 32 organizations in Brooklyn (brooklyneagle.com) — Brooklyn business corridors are getting a $2.8 million boost, with 32 local organizations awarded grants from the city's Department of Small Business Services. Announced in Bay Ridge on Third Avenue, the funding is expected to strengthen merchant groups, support small businesses, and keep neighborhood commercial strips vibrant and safer for residents and shopkeepers alike.
   

5. Hermès nears opening in faux-old Williamsburg building • Brooklyn Paper (brooklynpaper.com) — A permanent Hermès flagship is about to open at 111 North 6th Street in Williamsburg, further cementing the neighborhood's shift toward high-end national brands. The faux-historic new building replaces a mix of smaller retailers and follows a short-lived Hermès popup down the block, highlighting how global luxury is reshaping Brooklyn's once mom-and-pop-heavy shopping strip.
