Free Community Art Meetups Return to Bushwick This Summer With Workshops, Local Artists, and Creative Connect

The Art Meetup invites New Yorkers to spend two Saturdays creating art, meeting neighbors, and participating in free workshops at Maria Hern

BROOKLYN, NY — As loneliness and social isolation continue to affect people across New York City, one Bushwick community event is creating space for something increasingly rare: gathering with strangers through creativity.

The Art Meetup returns to Maria Hernandez Park on Saturday, July 11 and Saturday, August 1, transforming the park into a free community arts experience featuring local artists, interactive workshops, a community chalk mural, wellness activities, vendors, and opportunities to meet new people.

Unlike traditional networking events, The Art Meetup is designed around participation. Guests are encouraged to create something, join conversations, discover local artists, and connect naturally throughout the afternoon.
