Residents and visitors can browse photos, check availability, and find rental details through the town’s website and reservation system.

2. Historic building in Canandaigua becomes county's first family homeless shelter (whec.com) — A long-vacant historic Cobblestone Manor on North Main Street in Canandaigua has been transformed into Ontario County’s first homeless shelter specifically for families, opening this week. The Shill Family Center will house up to seven families and offer 24/7 support, case management, and employment and eviction-prevention services, with plans to expand similar facilities in Canandaigua and Geneva.

3. Police Arrest Canandaigua Man on Alleged Drug Possession (fingerlakesdailynews.com) — Ontario County deputies say a Canandaigua man was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after a Monday night roadside investigation in Hopewell. The 66-year-old was issued an appearance ticket, and officials emphasize the charge is only an accusation and he remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

4. Wrexham football legend to speak to Canandaigua stroke support group (fingerlakes1.com) — Canandaigua-area stroke survivors and caregivers can hear former Wrexham AFC standout Gareth “Gaz” Owen share his recovery journey during Thompson Health’s virtual Stroke Support Group meeting on June 4. Hosted by UR Medicine F.F. Thompson Hospital, the 1 p.m. online session is open to stroke survivors, caregivers, and loved ones from across the Finger Lakes region.

5. Canandaigua Launches New Parks Patch Program (fingerlakesdailynews.com) — Starting Memorial Day weekend, the Town of Canandaigua is rolling out a Parks and Recreation Patch Program that rewards residents and visitors for exploring local parks. Participants of all ages can complete hikes and nature activities to earn “Get Outdoors and Explore,” “Youth Ranger,” and “Senior Ranger” patches while learning about conservation and outdoor safety close to home.
