• USDA Disaster Aid Sought for Finger Lakes Growers (fingerlakesdailynews.com) — Farmers in Cayuga County could soon qualify for federal disaster assistance after New York requested a USDA disaster designation for frost-damaged fruit crops across the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier. If approved, Cayuga growers would be eligible for low-interest emergency loans to help recover from severe crop losses and millions in regional economic damage.
