Clayton Huey Elementary Students Display Projects at Exhibition
Students Explored Research Themes, Worked Together to Find Solutions
Fifth grade students at Clayton Huey Elementary School proudly presented their culminating projects during the annual Primary Years Programme (PYP) Exhibition on Thursday, March 26.
Held throughout the school’s classrooms and hallways, the exhibition transformed the building into an interactive learning space where students shared their research and ideas with visitors. Families and guests were invited to circulate at their own pace, exploring a wide range of student-led presentations.
This year’s exhibition centered on the theme “Sharing the Planet,” guided by the central idea: “People’s actions may have an effect on their world.” Students worked collaboratively to investigate real-world issues, select topics of personal interest, and design meaningful actions aimed at making a positive difference.

Students explored topics including endangered species, artificial intelligence, space exploration, marine life conservation, social media and student stress, healthy video game habits, sports and injuries, and environmental impacts on animals. Other inquiries examined questions such as the habitability of distant planets, the effects of ocean pollution on marine animals, and how technology and culture influence daily life.
Throughout the process, students engaged in critical thinking and research, core hallmarks of the PYP framework. Working in groups, they not only developed a deep understanding of their topics but also identified ways to take action and inspire others.

The event highlighted the culmination of months of hard work and demonstrated the students’ growth. By connecting their learning to real-world challenges, Clayton Huey’s fifth graders showcased both their academic skills and their commitment to making a difference.
