• Centereach Man Gets 5 Years for Leading $5.5 Million Long Island Car Fraud Ring (newsbreak.com) — A Centereach resident has been sentenced to five years in prison for leading a $5.5 million vehicle fraud ring that resold more than 120 cars with phony titles across several New York counties. Suffolk County prosecutors say the scheme used forged documents to obtain vehicles, left lenders unpaid, and even turned up two illegal handguns when investigators searched the Centereach man’s home.
