Prosecutors say Cheektowaga Police, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, and State Police worked together on the 2024 homicide investigation that led to his manslaughter conviction this April.

State Police issue more than a hundred work zone tickets on Thruway Monday (wgrz.com) — State Police recently cracked down on unsafe driving through work zones on the I-90 Thruway, including stretches in Cheektowaga, issuing 101 tickets in a single ten-hour Operation Hard Hat detail. Troopers disguised as road workers spotted speeders and seatbelt violators, with some drivers clocked over 85 mph, underscoring the need for extra caution near local construction zones.

World's largest operating steam locomotive makes second stop in WNY for America's 250th anniversary (wkbw.com) — A Cheektowaga dad and his sons were among thousands who headed to the Bison Railyard in nearby Sloan to see Union Pacific’s massive “Big Boy No. 4014” steam locomotive. The 80-year-old engine is touring the country for America’s 250th birthday, including a pass through Letchworth State Park before July 4.
