• Shoplifting Duo Steal Nearly $500 in Clothing from Commack Target, Cops Say (longisland.com) — Police are asking Commack residents for help identifying a man and woman who stole nearly $500 in clothing from the Target on Veterans Memorial Highway on August 9. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anonymous tips that lead to an arrest, and residents can submit information by phone, app, or online.
   

• Local crime reports (trihamletnews.com) — Suffolk police report that two Bohemia residents were charged in a robbery spree that included an August 14 holdup at a Chase Bank in Commack, along with several other businesses across the county. The roundup also details a Sayville homicide suspect killed by Massachusetts police and a countywide crackdown on Move Over Law violations aimed at protecting roadside workers.
