• Cooperstown ‘Gateway' Gets Facelift Compliments of NYSDOT (allotsego.com) — Cooperstown’s southern gateway on Route 28 is getting $5.5 million in state-funded sidewalks, lighting, drainage and roadway upgrades, with virtually no direct cost to village taxpayers. Construction is staged over 2026-27, with work paused between Memorial Day and Labor Day to protect the tourism season, and only limited local responsibility for powering and upgrading decorative lampposts.
