• Man accused of DWI following crash that damaged poles, signs in Copiague (news12.com) — A serious DWI crash along Montauk Highway in Copiague damaged utility poles, street signs, and a truck, and left debris scattered for half a mile between Howard Avenue and Hawkins Boulevard. Local residents, including a Copiague man who heard the impact, say speeding and dangerous driving are common on this stretch, with multiple pedestrian incidents reported this year.
