Eligible households earning roughly $106,000 to $238,000 can apply for one- and two-bedroom apartments with modern amenities, including in-unit laundry, a gym, children’s playroom, and outdoor areas, through NYC Housing Connect by July 2, 2026.
   

2. Crown Heights Tenants Sue Landlord Alleging Broken Elevators (brownstoner.com) — Disabled tenants at 1933 Union Street in Crown Heights are suing their landlord in federal court, saying broken elevators, a long-defunct wheelchair lift, and months without cooking gas have left them trapped and struggling with daily life. With Legal Aid’s help, they allege violations of disability and housing laws, hoping to force long-overdue repairs and better accessibility for residents.
   

3. Shaimos Collection System Installed in Crown Heights (collive.com) — A new shaimos collection container is now operating at President Street and Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights, offering year-round, supervised disposal of sacred Jewish texts for $6 per grocery-sized bag. The system, overseen by the OU and CRC, aims to ease the burden on local shuls and residents while piloting 30 sites before expanding to hundreds more across the region.
   

4. The Juneberry Gallery Launches its Summer Season (collive.com) — This Sunday, June 14, the Juneberry Gallery on President Street in Crown Heights hosts a public Shleimus HaAretz conference and gallery tour, kicking off its summer season. Local women’s group Crown Heights Women for the Safety and Integrity of Israel will feature keynote speaker Yotam Eyal of the Legal Forum for Israel, with RSVPs required for the afternoon program.
