A warehouse moratorium through June 30, 2026 still covers the site a developer asked about, and any future data center would first require years of utility studies and a new high‑voltage substation.
   

• Two-car crash with fire on Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant (newportdispatch.com) — An East Fishkill resident was involved in a serious two‑car crash on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant on May 5, when his Toyota was sideswiped and the other vehicle veered off, struck an overpass pillar, and caught fire. The East Fishkill driver was uninjured and released, while the other driver died and has not yet been publicly identified.
