The recognition showcases the strength of East Islip High School's music program and the dedication of its students and teachers, who hope to bring new skills back to local ensembles.
   

• Madison Kearney delivers for East Islip field hockey with final shootout goal (newsday.com) — East Islip High School's field hockey team edged Sayville 2–1 in a dramatic home game that needed overtime and three shootout rounds to decide. Sophomore goalie Emily Saccone and shooter Madison Kearney came up clutch in the shootout, giving East Islip a memorable Suffolk II victory that players and local fans will be talking about for a long time.
   

• A Community's Quick Reaction Saves a Refs Life (southshorepress.com) — During a JV girls soccer game between Smithtown East and East Islip, a referee collapsed and was revived thanks to fast CPR and an on-site defibrillator. East Islip families joined Smithtown parents, coaches and staff in the lifesaving response, underscoring how prepared community members and accessible AEDs can make a critical difference at local school sports events.
