Roc Nation, Brooklyn Public Library Team Up To Screen JAY-Z Documentary

BROOKLYN, NY — Roc Nation and Brooklyn Public Library will host a free public screening of episodes 5 and 6 of HBO’s "JAŸ-Z IN 8" on Friday, Oct. 2, at the library’s Central Branch in Brooklyn.

The screening will take place in the lobby at 10 Grand Army Plaza, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the screening beginning at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The eight-part documentary series marks three decades of JAŸ-Z’s music and cultural impact, following the 30th anniversary of his debut album, "Reasonable Doubt". Directed by Rick Rubin, the series features conversations between Rubin and JAŸ-Z about his songwriting, career, creative process and the people and experiences that influenced his work.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive a limited-edition JAŸ-Z 30 library cards celebrating "The Blueprint", while supplies last. The series premiered Sept. 18, with two new episodes released each Friday through Oct. 9.
