Cynthia B. and Anderson O. Named Youth of the Month for June.

Junior Youth of the Month Cynthia B. is six years old and in the first grade. Her favorite subject is math, and she relishes spending time with her family, caring for her dog, and playing soccer, a sport she recently discovered and already loves. An avid reader, Cynthia gravitates toward animal related subjects and characters like the Pigeon series by Mo Willems. Her love of animals has inspired her dream of becoming a veterinarian one day. Cynthia joined the Club this past September and quickly found a place where she feels happy and welcomed. She loves engaging and socializing with her friends and says her favorite part of the Club is the playground. Cynthia does credit the Club for inspiring her to learn the importance of being kind and helping others while also building her confidence. Looking forward to returning next year, Cynthia says the Club is special because it's a place where she has made many friends adding "The Club is so much fun.”
For Senior Youth of the Month, Anderson O., this marks his fourth recognition, having previously earned the title in 2021, 2023 and 2025. Now 15 years old and in the 10th grade, Anderson continues to pursue his passion for art while keeping his sight set on a future career as an architect. He still enjoys building LEGO bricks, a hobby that has fueled his creativity from a young age. This year, one of his drawings was selected by the Club for submission to the Congressional Art Competition. Outside the classroom, Anderson enjoys reading thrillers that keep him hooked, playing video games, and staying active through sports. Soccer and basketball are his favorites, and with the FIFA World Cup underway, he's proudly cheering on Mexico. A Club member since first grade, Anderson says the Club has always felt like home. "I've been coming here since I was little, and the Club has always made me feel like I have somewhere I belong," he shared. "I never want to leave."Looking back on nearly a decade as a member, Anderson credits the staff with shaping the person he is today. He says the Club has taught him to be respectful, responsible, and accountable. Just as older members once inspired him, Anderson hopes to be a positive role model for the next generation."The Club can be your home," he said. "You will feel safe, loved, and there is always someone who can help you here."
