Lieutenant Brian Miller Completes Prestigious Executive Leadership Program, Bringing Advanced Training Back to Glen Cove

The City of Glen Cove is proud to announce that Glen Cove Police Department Lieutenant Brian Miller has successfully completed the Mid-Atlantic Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (MALEEDS), one of the nation’s premier law enforcement executive training programs.

Held annually at Princeton University, the highly selective MALEEDS program provides advanced leadership development for police chiefs and executive-level law enforcement professionals. This year’s class included 73 law enforcement leaders from New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and is co-sponsored by the Newark, New York, and Philadelphia Divisions of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

“This was an incredible opportunity to further my leadership training and learn alongside law enforcement professionals from across the tri-state area,” said Lt. Miller. “The program provided valuable insight, strengthened professional relationships, and gave me new tools that I look forward to bringing back to better serve the City of Glen Cove and our Police Department.”

Mayor Pamela Panzenbeck congratulated Lt. Miller on this accomplishment, noting that continued training and education strengthen the department and benefit the entire Glen Cove community.

Chief Christopher Ortiz added, “We are proud of Lt. Miller for completing this prestigious program. Leadership training at this level strengthens our department and helps us continue providing the highest standard of public safety for our residents.”

Upon completion of MALEEDS, graduates are invited to join the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) for continued leadership training and professional development opportunities.
